Backyard Dreaming

2015-

In Backyard Dreaming I resist conventional framing of the landscape. By employing selective depth of field and a continuously shifting point of view, I aim to heighten awareness of the the act of framing thus fragmenting the contemporary landscape from its pictorial legacy. The photographs are made within the intimacy of my garden or places where I seek respite. Rather than deny the pastoral I playfully re-purpose it, to reveal a 'constructed nature' unfolding before my eyes.
